Until June 15, when California plans to fully reopen the economy, the Weekend Marketplace will continue to follow current State and County of Ventura face mask protocols. All vendors, customers, and Marketplace Staff are required to wear a face covering at all times while inside the Marketplace perimeter. Thank you for your cooperation and support to keep our community safe.
Weekend Marketplace - COVID - 19 Updates
NEW! USED MERCHANDISE VENDORS WELCOMED BACK ON SATURDAYS
Starting Saturday, May 29th, vendors with used merchandise will be welcomed back to sell on Saturdays Only.
As we move towards fewer pandemic restrictions in Ventura County (we're still in the Orange Tier), please remember to continue wearing a mask! The marketplace is an outdoor space where it is often difficult to maintain social distancing of six feet apart, and so we are asking everyone to keep wearing their masks and avoid eating and drinking on-site to provide a healthy and safe shopping experience for your customers. Keep our vendors, staff, and shoppers safe: wearing a mask protects us all! And remember to be kind to one another. Your mask protects others from you!
Unfortunately, at this time, the Weekend Marketplace will continue to operate the same as we did in the Purple Tier and will continue to follow all the Vendor & Customer Safety Protocols as outlined in our Marketplace COVID Operation Plan Information Packet (Download: English Version or Spanish Version).
It is very important that all vendors and helpers wear facial masks/covering at all times. Please wear your mask properly (it should cover your nose and mouth) the entire time you are in the marketplace area. YOU MUST WEAR A MASK BEFORE AND AFTER HOURS DURING SET UP AND CLEAN UP TIMES. NO eating or drinking allowed in customer areas or within Marketplace premises. Any vendor eating must stay in their selling space and must remain 6 feet away from customers and merchandise. Any vendor or helper who is told more than once to wear their mask, will not be allowed to come back.
Don’t forget Absolutely NO, snacks or beverages should be sold until further notice. ONLY produce and bulk pre-packed food items. No small packaged candy or chips allowed only big bulk packages.
Please review the COVID-19 Marketplace Reopening Information Packet for details on our operational plan, supplemental vendor agreement, and safety protocol.
Only vendors selling essential goods, or any other items authorized by the Ventura County Public Health Department have returned.
The proceeds from vendor fees at the Marketplace help fund the VC Foundation for the benefit of the College and its students.
FREE ADMISSION AND FREE ON-CAMPUS PARKING!
Please respect the surrounding neighborhoods. Park in the East Parking Lot (off Day Road and Telegraph Road), along Telegraph Rd, Day Rd, or in the North Lot (off Loma Vista).

Ventura College Foundation
The Ventura College Foundation’s Weekend Marketplace began as a small effort in 1985 by the VC Foundation’s board of directors to raise additional support for the Foundation and funds for Ventura College students and programs. The Weekend Marketplace has grown into an established community event attracting vendors and patrons from throughout the state and will typically draw approximately 2,000 to 5,000 shoppers each weekend.
In the past decade, the VC Foundation Weekend Marketplace has doubled the revenue it generates from space rentals to support the Foundation, helping cover the costs of staff, operations, and a portion of the Foundation's core programs: scholarships and textbook lending support.
