Weekend Marketplace
Weekend Marketplace

The College District is moving forward with the East Parking Lot (Marketplace Lot) solar installation project beginning November 18th and will take approximately 3 months to complete. The Marketplace has temporarily relocated and will be operating in the West Parking lot at Ventura College through the end of February 2021.

Please note: We cannot allow more vendors than we already accommodate, especially during the solar installation project. COVID safety protocol remains in place for both our vendors and patrons. Face coverings are mandatory (worn over nose and mouth at all times), social distancing practices are mandatory, no eating or drink is allowed on the premises, and patrons are asked to only use official entrances and exits. The Marketplace is currently operating as an outdoor retail market with produce and bulk pre-packaged food item vendors, and retail sales of NEW items in accordance with county and state COVID safety protocols.

Please review the below COVID-19 Marketplace Relocation Information, supplemental vendor agreement, and safety notices for additional information.

NEW! Temporary Location of the Weekend Marketplace

The Marketplace is temporarily located off Loma Vista Road in the West Parking Lot of Ventura College. Free parking is available in campus lots and along Loma Vista and Telegraph Road.

Under specific State and County mandates the Ventura College Weekend Marketplace is Open Again Starting January 16th & 17th!

There is new protocol for both our vendors and patrons. We ask that all visitors wear face coverings and practice proper social distancing. Please review the COVID-19 Marketplace Reopening Information Packet for details on our operational plan, supplemental vendor agreement, and safety protocol.

Only vendors selling essential goods, or any other items authorized by the Ventura County Public Health Department have returned.

The proceeds from vendor fees at the Marketplace help fund the VC Foundation for the benefit of the College and its students.

Ventura College Foundation

The Ventura College Foundation’s Weekend Marketplace began as a small effort in 1985 by the VC Foundation’s board of directors to raise additional support for the Foundation and funds for Ventura College students and programs.  The Weekend Marketplace has grown into an established community event attracting vendors and patrons from throughout the state and will typically draw approximately 2,000 to 5,000 shoppers each weekend.

In the past decade, the VC Foundation Weekend Marketplace has doubled the revenue it generates from space rentals to support the Foundation, helping cover the costs of staff, operations, and a portion of the Foundation's core programs: scholarships, the VC Promise, and textbook lending support.
