Pirates of Distinction: Why We Invest in Success

At our Celebration of Success, we honored 15 Pirates of Distinction and officially launched the public phase of the $7 million Invest in Success campaign. More than 100 community leaders gathered in celebration on campus and Mayor Jeanette Sanchez-Palacios presented certificates recognizing the college’s community impact.

With $6.47 million already raised, the campaign supports Basic Needs Centers serving 500 students daily and sustains the Ventura College Promise Program, which has helped more than 25,000 students attend tuition-free. Every gift helps remove financial barriers and keeps students fed, enrolled, and focused on achieving their educational dreams.
