Discipline, Dreams, and Twenty Years in the Making

I've been on a journey since graduating Ventura College in 2003. One of my highlights from Ventura College was joining the track & field team in 2001 for field events and being freshman of the year. I played basketball in High School, so this sport was new for me and with the great coaches we had influenced my ability to become the best I could be as an athlete and student. I then became a Gator at San Francisco State University earning a BA degree in Communications. I went into the restaurant industry after graduating and becoming a manager and have been in the food and beverage industry for 20 years overseeing multiple concepts. I spent the last three years working as the Athletic Dining and Catering Operations Manager for Associated Students UCLA and just began working for Wolfgang Puck Catering as an Operations Manager for the Hollywood and Highland location. Yes...Hollywood dreams do come true...and I thank my discipline from athletics and academia that gave me this work ethic I have today to lead high volume catering events for high profile clients.

Ventura College was a memorable experience for me. This was the starting point for finding my passion for Food and Beverage Hospitality.

I want to inspire the current and past Pirates students and athletes to be healthy and keep fighting for their dreams.
